The Opel GT AL are the first car
in the world with revolving eyes. The GT was initially
designed with square eyes, but it was changed in the late
state of the design-phase to revolving eyes, which are
one of the characteristic og the unik car. To bring the
headlamps into action a lever beside the gearlever is
pushed firmly forward, and a dull thud is heard as the
lamp units complete their turn and lock in the raised
position, when they light up automayicaly. A red lamp
light up in the panel wheh you start the operation, and
the light turn off, when the headlamps are in proper
position and turne on. Until few years ago it was the
only car in the world with this type of light. The Jaguar
XJ220S was produced with the same type of light (but
electric operated), and the jaguar XJ220S won the 24 hour
Leman race in France in 1993 with a danish driver John
Nielsen in the crew. |
